Then there is FabFitFun. I saw these boxes for a while now, and I thought hey, why not. They are a bit steeper than the other make up boxes, but I'd consider this as a lifestyle box. At $49.99, I obviously looked up their reviews and past boxes and have my fingers crossed that it'd be stuff I like. (I saw their Spring Box and I loved practically everything in there.)
So my box finally arrived! After payment, it took about a week before I even got my tracking confirmation and perhaps another 3 days before it got here. The box looks a bit roughed up, but what do you expect? I just wish they'd at least wrap the box with some plastic or saran wrap. It's such a shame the pretty box looked that way now.
I gave it a try. My hair doesn't hold curls as well unless I use a curling iron. I gave it a pretty decent amount of spray and I also sprayed the top and combed it out for volume.
Volume wise, it holds up pretty well. Holding my sad waves, not really, they got pretty tangled and flat by the end of the day.
I like the smell though. It has a nice breezy smell. If nothing, for a quick volume, this spray does good.
(Retail value: $18)
Then we got these Betchicles Ice Pop Molds.
I actually got excited about these, because I was half thinking if I wanted to buy some popsicle molds from Walmart for summer.
These are super cute and a good size for me, because I don't eat fast enough to finish my popsicles before they're all melted. Especially in this weather. They're supposed to be champagne bottle-shaped, so guess what? I filled it with Grape Juice so I could pretend I have some actual bubbly in these. Yup, adult choices right there.
(Retail Value: $19)
In the box, there is also a Yoga Towel by Summer & Rose. Honestly, I'm one of those people who collect workout stuff but end up using it only once or twice. So I do like the product but it just feels like one of those impulse-buy moments and immediately wonder why did I get it.
It has a cute cursive brush font that says Good Vibes on mine. I thought hey, might as well get a quick work out in, but I don't think I'd be showing you the less than elegant shapes and faces I pull when I do my poses. So here's just one. Good Vibes can't save me.
I may just end up using this as a beach towel.
(Retail Value: $36)
We have this Daily Micro Derm Scrub by Stemulation. It has a citrusy smell to it, keeping in theme with the whole beach vibe.
On the left, is a picture of the exfoliating scrub. They're really fine, and you could definitely tell when you gently rub it on your skin.
Tried it on my skin and I think I rubbed it a bit too much, so my skin feels raw. I might stick to just using it as a body scrub.
(Retail Value: $34)
I gave it a swatch on my hand so you could tell it's quite pigmented. I also gave it a try, I like the color, and I like the cool, tingly menthol feeling; but personally, I don't like lip gloss. I just don't like the oily feel it leaves on my lips and I don't know if I am allowed to eat the stuff. I'll stick to Matte Lipsticks. Thanks.
(Retail Value: $18)

Dang, this unboxing post is getting pretty long. I guess is good that the box is stuffed to the brim with items, but it is kinda getting a bit burdensome to read, I'm sure. Bear with me just a bit more, yea?
So next is the Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream. This one I really do like. It is a moisturizer but could work as a make up base too. It glides on my skin really well and has a smooth, velvety feel to it.
(Retail Value: $48)

This is one of my favorite things in the box. A Trina Turk Canvas Tote.
If you know me in real life, you'd know I'm a total nerd and I love puns. There are 3 totes you could get, a Yellow one that says "Sunshine & Saltwater", an Orange one that says "Vitamin Sea" (okay, this one is pretty good) but my favorite is this one that says "Seas the Day". Hello? It's so Carpe Diem.
On top of all that, I often need a simple bag to bring out when I'm running a quick errand. Do not laugh unless you have a baby and all your designer bags just somehow turned into diaper bags. Heck, I use a backpack now and my Husband says I'm nerdy. *shrugs* So forgive me if I do like this tote, which I could use for grocery shopping, or just stash some spare clothes for us to go on road trips.
(Retail Value: $55)
That brings the total value of the box at: <$228!
And I just paid $49.99 for the box which is only a little over 25% of the actual cost. Pretty worth it, I'd say. I'm looking forward to the next box already!
