People say don't judge a book by its cover, but let's be honest here, we do it. Literally I mean.
It was the cover that attracted me to this book.
I always had a soft spot for dragons.
Then I realised that it was a book by George R.R. Martin, I was sold!
So the storyline runs along the same world as A Song of Fire and Ice, but since it's a world where dragons roam, I believe it's before they were widely hunted.
The best part of the book for me is the art and illustrations.
The blue and grey color scheme definitely made it feel like Winter was here.
Also that the story wasn't too long and it flowed like a fairy tale, it was perfect to read it to a child. (Bearing in mind that you're gonna be reading a little bit of bloody gore to them if you do.)
But all in all George R. R. Martin did another wonderfully spun story alongside ASoIaF. Worthy of the title the Times called him, the America Tolkien.
